In this video, I'm going to show you the MISTAKE you need to STOP making.
Every year, we keep seeing hockey athletes make the same mistake and it has to stop here and now, and it completely revolves around your in-season training.
Now, I want you to view the off-season like physical progression, and I want you to view the in-season like skill expression.
We use the off-season to progress in things like strength, conditioning, speed, mobility...there's a lot of things you can do in the off-season to physically progress so that by the time you get to the in-season your skill expression is on an entirely new level.
BUT here's the BIG MISTAKE that most hockey athletes do...
They have a great off-season, but when the in-season starts they completely stop training. They think they are too busy, or if they add a training to their on-ice activities that they will be overtrained, they have a lot of bad ideas about nutrition and training in general.
So during the off-season, they work so hard, only to regress when in-season comes along.
But if you do intelligent in-season program design, you will continue to progress - you won't lose size, speed, conditioning, mobility, you won't lose anything!
